Susan Miller’s collaboration with Fresh Beauty is pretty much in perfect cosmic alignment. Yup, that’s right folks, the OG American astrologer has co-created 12 limited-edition Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatments to pair with each star sign in the Zodiac Wheel.
A cult treatment for even the trickiest of chapped mouths since the early noughties, the reimagined balms are nothing short of genius, not to mention, timely. A global fascination with the cosmos has paved the way for vaulted astrologers like Miller – creator of the award-winning and addictive Astrology Zone – to continue offering up eerily accurate horoscope predictions to six million-plus subscribers that devour her monthly forecasts with fervent glee.
Lucky for us, Miller has also created exclusive 2019 horoscope predictions on the Fresh website that give new meaning to pairing your pout with your star sign. Warning: that pesky planet Mercury goes retrograde on November 8 (apparently the crucial last planet in retrograde until March 2019), so we could frankly use all the insights (and magic) we can get our hands on. And, since November is the birthday month of Scorpio, it seems like an opportune moment to bulk-buy the eighth sign of the zodiac, Sugar Lip Scorpio Treatment, which according to Miller espouses “intense, magnetic, and private” qualities. A cue to show off your true kaleidoscopic colours and stripes? Hell yeah. It’s written in the stars. Hankering after even more alchemy? Look no further than Viktor & Rolf’s six fragrant offerings, aptly titled Magic Collection.
We’re rather partial to Sage Spell, an otherworldly scent inspired by the duo’s old office space overlooking an apparently haunted 17th-century canal house in Amsterdam. Upon moving in, the designers had the cavernous space saged—the herb is renowned for its cleansing and clearing properties—and loved the aroma so much, that a bottle of perfume was explicitly created around its time-honoured cleansing traditions. The self-proclaimed “beauty magicians” made sure to encase their collection in reimagined apothecary-style bottles, and as an added bonus, each fragrance (Lavender Illusion, Magical Levitation, Dancing Roses, Sparkling Secret, Dirty Trick, Liquid Diamonds) is accompanied with a card featuring illustrations by French graphic designers Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak (known professionally as M/M Paris), that rely on your savvy or sixth-sense to reveal the perfume’s true olfactory identity. Visual riddles that reconnect you with your intuition? Magic indeed.
